Meet this beautiful family. I have known both Zanelle and Stiaan for about 8 years now. We attended the same University, the University of Stellenbosh, in the Western Cape. I was so excited when Zanelle asked me to photograph their family, there is nothing more special to me, than to photograph old friends and their adorable new family member, Sebastiaan.

I flew to Cape Town and spend a weekend in Stellenbosh, the weather played along perfectly, and I am thrilled with the way this session turned out. Thank you Zanelle for inviting me to photograph your family. I wish you guys a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2012. I hope to see you guys in the USA one of these days.

Location: Klein Constantia ( Where Stiaan is a wine agriculturist ). Klein Constantia is one of the most beautiful wine properties I have visited. If you ever get the chance, please do stop by and taste some of their amazing wines.

I was lucky enough to photograph this little girl (Adele) on the morning before I flew out to South Africa. Isn’t she just too adorable?

As many of you know, I am currently in South Africa and will be here until end of January. I am always available via email to my clients or anyone potentially interested in a session. Please note that my response time might be a little slower than usual.

Aren’t they just gorgeous?! I photographed Lauren and Mommy a while back and I loved, loved, loved doing this session. I think any chance you get to be photographed with the ones you love is so so special. Daddy is in Afghanistan, and I can only imagine what a big treat these images will be to him.

This was my first time shooting in Downtown Tacoma, and who better than exploring what this city has to offer than one of my favorite families. Cayman has grown so much since I last saw him, and Porcha is just as beautiful as her mommy.

Thank you so much Tran Family for being so amazing to work with. I trust you will love these images as much as I do.

I also wanted to mention that I will now have a natural light studio in Downtown Tacoma, I am excited to what the future will bring, and really looking forward exploring & experiencing Tacoma.

Let me tell you something, when I photograph a 2 – 3 year old Child I am honestly in my element. I love this age. 2 things you need to know when you book a session with a photographer with your 2 -3 year old. This is probably the most challenging age to photograph, but at the same time, the most rewarding.

Kai gave me a run for my money, she reminded me so much of my own little Abigail. She has such a strong personality, she’s at a age where they want to show their independence from Mom & Dad and explore what this wonderful interesting world has to offer. This is my favorite age, there is no pretending, no posing, just pure expressions & emotions.

Lee & Eric I adore these images, I think they captured Kai so perfectly at the stage and age she’s at in life. You have a beautiful family, I really enjoyed working with you guys. Thank you for allowing me to capture some memories for you.

Look at this adorable and gorgeous family? I met Ben Hunter at a group run that I photographed, Wear Blue : Run to remember. (more about this group in my next blog post)

I was really so excited when he contacted me with the idea of buying his wife a family session as a Mother’s day gift. What a special gift, what Photographer would not be excited to be part of something that special. I get to photograph families and children almost every week, and I can’t tell you how much love I get to see. It truly inspires me to be a better person and a better mother.

I am so happy I have met Jenny. She is so kind, such a good friend and an amazing Mother. We decided to head down to Tolmie State Park to take some Images of Jenny with her 2 adorable kids. Abigail tagged along for this session and Olivia was such a good babysitter between shots. Thank you Olivia.
