I was really so excited when he contacted me with the idea of buying his wife a family session as a Mother’s day gift. What a special gift, what Photographer would not be excited to be part of something that special. I get to photograph families and children almost every week, and I can’t tell you how much love I get to see. It truly inspires me to be a better person and a better mother.

Happy Mother’s day to all the Mommies out there. I don’t have much to say today but what I do want to say is, that I am grateful for a loving & supportive family. I am so so grateful for a beautiful little girl, who is growing up with so much personality & character. I am still a young Mom and each week / day I learn something new about being a parent. I Love you with all my heart Abigail.

To my Mom in South Africa. I miss you so much, I am so happy that we’ll be able to see each other soon. Thank you Mom for everything that you’ve done for me in my life, what you’ve done for Abigail. I am so grateful that even though you live on the other side of the world, that we have a way to stay connected every day. I love you Mom.

I took these Images in our home beginning of this week. I love how Abigail is not turning away from the camera anymore. The blanket my Mother bought for me in South Africa and it’s hand made by a group of Women in a rural village in Africa. I love it and hope to pass it along to Abigail one day.
