This past Sunday I had the pleasure of Photographing this gorgeous young family. I’ve know Ingrid since High School and I don’t think we’ve seen each other in about 10/12 years. It’s always so special to meet up with friends, meet their loved ones and then get to document their family. I am honestly so lucky to do Photography as a job. We visited Irene dairy farm close to Pretoria in South Africa and the weather was just perfect.

I had the pleasure of doing a mentor session during my time here in South Africa. With a mentor session I teach how I plan, photograph and process a photo session. Also how I handle the business side of being a professional photographer. (not my favorite thing to talk about, but definitely vital to running a photography business)

I’ve been traveling lots the last few weeks and I haven’t really dedicated the time to blogging as I should. So today I am blogging the amazing “M” family.

I was nervous the day of this session as the weather didn’t look too good and I only had one day to photograph this family before I leave for South Africa. I have to say they what a sweet family this is. I was welcomed at their home and we almost immediately started shooting. These girls were adorable, I just loved working with them. The most beautiful smiles and so polite.
