Meet my gorgeous cousin or should I say my sister? We were fortunate enough to grow up very close. Most of our summer vacations were spend on the farm, driving around with quad bikes, building tree houses and then hunting for the boys. I have so many fond memories growing up on the farm and having cousins so close to you.

Today we all live far apart, and when we get together once a year we want to make the most of it. This year things were a little different for me. I didn’t have that much time to spend with my family, but I did make time one afternoon at 6:20pm to photograph Lani. She has an absolute contagious smile and laugh and looking at these Images makes me feel like she is close by. To listen out for her laugh.

I love you Lani, you are a beautiful person inside out and I am really proud being your cousin. Hope to see you soon!!

Now this might be one of the most embarrassing things ever *blush*. Pablo and I were rushing to get things done before my session started at 5pm. Running to find 4 extra suitcases (luggage) to fly back to the States. About 4:44pm the most horrible thing ever happened……….. I TORE MY JEANS. Ughh and if it was only like on my knee, it would have been fine, i’ll walk around like that. But oh no, it was right down the middle of my bum. How did this happen? Well all I can tell you is its everybody elses fault. Abigail’s birthday cake, all the pap en sous… You get it right? I gained weight…. yes it’s horrible I know.

Luckily I had a sweet family who understood that sometimes bad things happen, and they were laughing with me. I was now starting a session in the 32C heat in sweat pants… *hiehie*

Anyhoo after the whole ordeal with my pants I had a super great, super quick session. This little guy was excited to see the “tannie” who’s gonna take the pictures. He was honestly such a treat to photograph, we played on the jungle gym and rolled around in grass. I love my job, there is nothing more fun to capture a Child playing.

We visited Cape Town at the beginning of our trip to South Africa, and at Cape Town airport I found these “Imfinbinga Seed” heart shapes. I loved it, and bought 4 for Abigail’s Room back in the States.

Today n my way back from my last Family Session I called my mom and told her to get herself and Abigail ready so I can photograph them for a chance. luckily I remembered about the hearts. Figured they could make some cute Valentine’s day pictures. Abigail is at such a cute age right now. I was pleasantly surprised by her cooperation with the Images.
